In this Regulation—

• “RIDDOR” means—

  1. (a)

     in relation to Great Britain, the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 ;

  2. (b)

     in relation to Northern Ireland, the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1997 ;

• “SCR” means—

  1. (a)

     in relation to Great Britain, the Offshore Installations (Offshore Safety Directive) (Safety Case etc.) Regulations 2015;

  2. (b)

     in relation to Northern Ireland, the Offshore Installations (Offshore Safety Directive) (Safety Case etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2016 ;

• “competent authority” means the Executive and the Secretary of State acting jointly;

• “the Executive” means—

  1. (a)

     in relation to Great Britain, the Health and Safety Executive;

  2. (b)

     in relation to Northern Ireland, the Health and Safety Executive for Northern Ireland;

• “major accident”, “major environmental incident” and “operator” have the same meanings as in SCR.
