For the purposes of compliance and verification of compliance with the requirements of this Regulation, measurements and calculations shall be made using harmonised standards, or other reliable, accurate and reproducible methods, which takes into account the generally recognised state-of-the-art methods and are in line with the provisions set out below. At the time of entry into force of this Regulation, the best available technology on the market for refrigerating appliances in terms of their energy efficiency index (EEI) and airborne acoustical noise emissions was identified as outlined below.
The figures below were obtained using a simplified conversion from the EEI-values as determined according to Regulation (EC) No 643/2009. The figures in brackets indicate the EEI-value as determined according to Regulation (EC) No 643/2009.
