Rule 6.1 Requirement for public noticeI1

Subject to paragraphs (2) and (3), every petition for a faculty is subject to the requirements of rules 6.2 to 6.5 as to the giving of public notice.

Rule 6.6 (exhumation, reservation of grave space and other special cases) makes special provision which applies instead of the requirements of rules 6.2 to 6.5.

The chancellor may dispense with the giving of public notice in accordance with rule 6.7.
