Article 55 General prohibition on deposit taking

In Article 25(2) of the Credit Unions (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 (general prohibition on deposit taking)^f1, for the words “has the meaning given in section 5 of the Barking Act 1987” substitute—

• “must be read with—

  1. (a)

     section 22 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000;

  2. (b)

     any relevant order under that section; and

  3. (c)

     Schedule 2 to that Act.”.
