(a)

in paragraph (1)—

(i)

for “fire authority”, substitute “fire and rescue authority”; and

(ii)

in sub-paragraph (a), for “serve as a regular firefighter in the brigade maintained by them”, substitute “be employed by the authority as a regular firefighter”;

(b)

in paragraph (2)—

(i)

for “fire authority”, in the first place those words appear, substitute “fire and rescue authority”; and

(ii)
