Paragraph 33

(1)

The Crabs and Lobsters (Minimum Size) Order (Northern Ireland) 2000 (S.R. (N.I.) 2000 No. 200) is amended as follows.

In article 2 (interpretation)—

(a)

omit the definition of “British fishing boat”;

(b)

for the definition of “foreign fishing boat” substitute—

““foreign fishing boat” has the same meaning as in the Fisheries Act 2020 (see section 52 of that Act);”.

For article 4 substitute—

“Exemptions

The prohibitions imposed by section 127(1) of the Act, as read with Article 3 and the Schedule, do not apply in relation to sea-fish caught by a foreign fishing boat in waters lying outside British fishery limits.”
