Section 329 (further provision as to interpretation) is amended as follows.

(2)

In subsection (1)—

(a)

in the definition of “local highway authority” after “Minister” insert “ or a strategic highways company ”;

(b)

at the appropriate place insert—

““strategic highways company” means a company for the time being appointed under Part 1 of the Infrastructure Act 2015;”.

(3)

After subsection (5) insert—

“(6)

Subsection (5) is subject to the specification of those roads as ones for which a strategic highways company is highway authority under Part 1 of the Infrastructure Act 2015.”
