Section 13 Power to incur expenditure for certain purposes not otherwise authorised.

The powers conferred by this Act on designated district authorities shall be in addition to that conferred on them by F1section 137(1) of the M1Local Government Act 1972 or section 83(1) of the M2Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973 (power of local authorities to incur expenditure for certain purposes not authorised by any other enactment); and accordingly those sections shall have effect as if this Act had not been enacted.
