Parts 2 to 8 contain amendments to the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989 corresponding to those made to the Insolvency Act 1986 by sections 117 to 135 of the Small Business, Enterprise and Employment Act 2015;

Part 9 makes provision corresponding to that made by and under sections 92 to 95 of the Enterprise and Regulatory Reform Act 2013;

Part 10 contains provision replacing that made by section 1 of the Insolvency (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016;

Part 11 contains miscellaneous amendments relating to the law of insolvency;

Part 12 contains amendments relating to insolvent partnerships.

“the 1989 Order” means the Insolvency (Northern Ireland) Order 1989, and

any reference to a numbered Article, or Schedule, is a reference to that Article of, or Schedule to, the 1989 Order (unless otherwise stated).
