Made 10th June 1996

The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 41(2) and (3) of the Jobseekers Act 1995f1 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1Citation

This Order may be cited as the Jobseekers Act 1995 (Commencement No. 3) Order 1996.

2Appointed day

The day appointed for the coming into force of the provisions of Schedule 2 to the Jobseekers Act 1995 specified in the Schedule to this Order, and section 41(4) of that Act in so far as it relates to those provisions, is 11th June 1996.

Explanatory note

This, the third Order commencing provisions of the Jobseekers Act 1995 (c. 18), provides for the coming into force on 11th June 1996 of certain provisions in Schedule 2 which make consequential amendments to other legislation, including the Social Security Administration Act 1992 (c. 5).
