Regulation 4 Amendment of Council Decision 2000/375/JHAI1

Council Decision 2000/375/JHA of 29 May 2000 to combat child pornography on the internet is amended as follows.

(2)

In Article 1—

(a)

in paragraph 1—

(i)

for “Within the framework of Decision No 276/1999/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and in” substitute “ In ”;

(ii)

for “Member States” substitute “ the Secretary of State ”;

(b)

in paragraph 2 omit “, and taking account of the administrative structure of each Member State,”;

(c)

in paragraph 3 for “Member States” substitute “ The Secretary of State ”.

Omit Article 2.

(4)

In Article 3—

(a)

in the paragraph before sub-paragraph (a)—

(i)

for “Member States” in the first place where it occurs substitute “ The Secretary of State ”;

(ii)

omit the second sentence;

(iii)

for “they” in the last sentence substitute “ the Secretary of State ”;

(b)

in sub-paragraph (c), omit “in accordance with the Council resolution of 17 January 1995 on the lawful interception of telecommunications”.

In Article 4, for “Member States” substitute “ The Secretary of State ”.

(6)

Omit Articles 5 to 8.
