Section 11 Sustainable modes of travelI1

(1)

Each local authority and the Welsh Ministers must promote the use of sustainable modes of travel when exercising functions under this Measure.

(2)

“Sustainable modes of travel” are modes of travel which the authority or the Welsh Ministers (as the case may be) consider may improve either or both of the following—

(a)

the physical well-being of those who use them;

(b)

the environmental well-being of—

(i)

the whole or part of the local authority's area, in the case of an authority, or

(ii)

the whole or part of Wales, in the case of the Welsh Ministers.
