LOCAL GOVERNMENT, ENGLAND

Coming into force 1st April 2000

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 175(1A) of the Local Government Act 1972f1, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

1972 c. 70. Section 175(1A) is inserted by paragraph 27 of Schedule 11 to the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (c. 42). The exercise, in relation to local authorities in Wales, of the powers conferred by section 175(1A) of the Local Government Act 1972 is transferred to the Welsh Assembly under the National Assembly for Wales (Transfer of Functions) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/672), Schedule 1.
