Regulation 2 Increase of allowances

The Local Authorities (Members' Allowances) Regulations 1991^f1 shall be amended as follows.

In regulation 12(c) (special responsibility allowance), for “£7,500” there shall be substituted, in relation to any year beginning on or after the commencement day, “£8,000”.

In regulation 17(2) (allowance in respect of conferences and meetings) for “£22.80” there shall be substituted, in relation to attendance at a conference or meeting on or after the commencement day, “£24.35”.

In regulation 18(1) (attendance allowance) for “£22.80” there shall be substituted, in respect of an approved duty performed on or after the commencement day, “£24.35”.

In regulation 18(2) (financial loss allowance), in respect of an approved duty performed on or after the commencement day–

For the Table in the Schedule, there shall, in relation to a year beginning on or after the commencement day, be substituted the following–
