Paragraph 8 Ending of appointmentF1

The appointment of a person as a commissioner ends if—

(a)

the appointment ceases to have effect in accordance with paragraph 2(2)or 4(3),

(b)

the appointment ends—

(i)

in accordance with the terms and conditions included by virtue of paragraph 5(1), or

(ii)

in accordance with paragraph 5(2),

(c)

the appointment is terminated in accordance with its terms and conditions or otherwise in accordance with contract law—

(i)

by the mayor for the area of the combined authority (whether that is the person who made the appointment or a successor), or

(ii)

by the commissioner,

(d)

the appointment ceases to have effect in accordance with paragraph 9(4), or

(e)

the commissioner dies.
