For article 11(1), substitute—

“11.

(1)

The performance of the best value authorities specified in paragraph (2), in exercising their transport functions, shall subject to paragraph (3), be measured by reference to indicators 1 to 9 in Schedule 9 to this Order.”.

(2)

In Schedule 9 (transport performance indicators)—

(a)

For indicator 3 substitute—

“Road safety: the percentage change in road accident casualties, in the area of the authority, since—

(a)

the previous year; and

(b)

the 1994 to 1998 average”;and

(b)

delete indicators 10 and 11.
