(1)

The existing areas of—

(a)

Bath and Wansdyke,

(b)

North Somerset,

(c)

South Somerset and Mendip, and

(d)

Taunton Deane, West Somerset and Sedgemoor,

are combined to become a new area named Somerset.

(2)

The existing areas of—

(a)

Bedford and Mid Bedfordshire, and

(b)

Luton and South Bedfordshire,

are combined to become a new area named Bedfordshire.
