The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 18(5) of the Prisons (Scotland) Act 1989f1 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Rules:

1989 c. 45; section 18(5), which re-enacts, for Scotland, section 59(6) of the Criminal Justice Act 1967 (c. 80), is, notwithstanding its repeal by the Prisoners and Criminal Proceedings (Scotland) Act 1993 (c. 9), an “existing provision” for the purposes of Schedule 6 of that Act.
