Notwithstanding the 1972 Scheme, a section of northbound on-slip road starting at a point 5 metres (5.5 yards) north of the interface with the Sandy Gate Roundabout, at Junction 30 of the M5 motorway, and ending after 35 metres (38.3 yards) running from east to west (all of which is indicated by the reference letter A on the plan) shall cease to be special road but will remain trunk road^f1.
