In regulation 7 (optimisation) of the Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2000^f1—

(a)

in paragraph (5)(b), after “capacity” insert “(within the meaning of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 (c.9) in the case of a child aged sixteen or seventeen)”; and

(b)

in paragraph (5)(c), after “capacity” insert “(within the meaning of the Mental Capacity Act 2005)”.
