Section 154 Searches and examination to ascertain identity

Article 55A of PACE (searches and examination to ascertain identity) applies in relation to a person detained in a place of safety under this Part as if—
(a)
in paragraph (1) the reference to a person who is detained in a police station were to a person who is detained in any place of safety under this Part;
(b)
paragraphs (1)(a), (2), (5) and (9) to (13) were omitted;
(c)
in paragraphs (6) and (7) the references to taking photographs were omitted.
