Article 8 Ceasing to produce, supply or use crude liquid petroleum or petroleum products

Where the undertaking carried on by P ceases to produce, supply or use crude liquid petroleum or petroleum products P must, as soon as possible after the cessation give notice of the cessation to the Secretary of State.

Where the Secretary of State receives a notice under paragraph (1), the Secretary of State may, in relation to any direction to P which is in force at the date of receipt (“the receipt date”), give notice to P to extend the period of the direction for a period of up to 3 months from the receipt date.
