Section 37 Consequential amendments and repeals.

United Kingdom

(1)

In the definition of “ophthalmic optician” in section 128(1) of the M1National Health Service Act 1977 and section 108(1) of the M2National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978—

(a)

for “section 2 of the Opticians Act 1958” there shall be substituted “section 7 of the Opticians Act 1989”; and

(b)

for “section 4” there shall be substituted “section 9”.

The enactments mentioned in Schedule 2 to this Act are repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.
