The Lord Chancellor, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 4(2) and 104 of the Children Act 1989f1 hereby makes the following Regulations:

These Regulations may be cited as the Parental Responsibility Agreement (Amendment) Regulations 1994 and shall come into force on 3rd January 1995.

The form set out in the Schedule to the Parental Responsibility Agreement Regulations 1991f1 shall be replaced by the form set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.

Explanatory note

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend the Parental Responsibility Agreement Regulations 1991 by prescribing a new form for the recording of an agreement between the parents of a child that the father is to have parental responsibility for the child within the meaning of section 3 of the Children Act 1989. The layout and content of the form have been improved to make it easier to understand and complete.
