Regulation 4 Contributions by participating office holders

For paragraph (2) of regulation D2 of the Principal Regulations, there shall be substituted—

  • “In this regulation, “salary” means—

    1. (a)

      in relation to a participating office holder (other than the Chairman of a Select Committee), the annual amount payable to him as an office holder in respect of his tenure of that office; or

    2. (b)

      in relation to a participating office holder who is a Chairman of a Select Committee, the annual amount payable to him, pursuant to an effective resolution for the time being in force, which is in excess of a Member’s ordinary salary and is attributable to his service as a Chairman of a Select Committee.”.
