Article 22 Periods prescribed for the purposes of sections 15(10) and 17(1)

The period prescribed for the purposes of section 15(10)(a) and (b)(i) is the relevant period.

Subject to rules 58(4), 59(3) and 68(3), the period prescribed for the purposes of section 15(10)(c) and (d) and section 17(1) is the relevant period.

The period prescribed for the purpose of section 15(10)(b)(ii) is four months F1beginning immediately after the date of filing of the application.

But paragraphs (1) to (3) do not apply to a new application.

In relation to a new application—

and the reference in paragraph (7) to the date of filing of the application is a reference to the date of filing of the earlier application.

But where the new application is filed less than six months before the compliance date, the period prescribed for the purposes of section 15(10)(a) to (d) and section 17(1) is the period ending with its initiation date.
