Paragraph 6 Automatic termination of licenceI1

If an appraisal or development licence is granted during the term of this licence in respect of any part of the licensed area, this licence shall automatically cease and determine as regards that part with effect from the date of commencement of the appraisal or development licence. Any such termination or partial termination of this licence shall extinguish any outstanding working obligation under clause 8 (to the extent that it relates to the area comprised in the appraisal or development licence), but shall otherwise be without prejudice to any obligation or liability imposed upon the Licensee or incurred by him under the terms and conditions of this licence prior to that date.
