Section 17 Modification of the code in Part II of the Public Utilities Street Works Act 1950, in its application to pipe-line works in streets.

No person shall be entitled to payment by virtue of section twenty-two of the M1Public Utilities Street Works Act 1950 (undertakers’ right to payment for works made necessary by, and obligation to facilitate, road etc. works), in respect of works or measures of his executed or taken in connection with a pipe-line.

A promoting authority shall not be entitled under subsection (2) of the said section twenty-two to require any lateral diversion of a pipe-line beyond the limits of lateral deviation permissible in relation thereto.
