Section 22 Sustainability appraisalI1

(1)

In preparing its plan, a plan-making authority must—

(a)

carry out an appraisal of the sustainability of the plan, and

(b)

prepare a report of the findings of the appraisal.

(2)

The appraisal must include an assessment of the likely effects of the plan on the use of the Welsh language in the authority’s area.

(3)

Regulations may specify the procedure to be followed in carrying out an appraisal under this section.
