Regulation 16 Disqualification
A person shall be disqualified from being appointed as a member of a police authority under regulation 9, and from being a member so appointed, if he is—
a member of the council for a county, district, county borough or London borough which is wholly or partly within the area of the police authority;
a member of a police force;
an officer or employee of a police authority; or
an officer or employee of a relevant council.
A person shall not be regarded for the purposes of paragraph (1)(d) as an employee of a relevant council by reason of his holding—
the post of head teacher or principal of a school, college or other educational institution or establishment which is maintained or assisted by a local education authority; or
any other post as a teacher or lecturer in any such school, college, institution or establishment.
