Article 16 of the Mental Health (NI) Order 1986^f1 (correspondence of detained patients) is amended as follows.

In paragraph (1) for the words “the Post Office” are substituted the words “the postal operator concerned”.

(3)

In paragraph (8)—

(a)

for the words ““postal packet” has” are substituted the words ““postal packet” and “postal operator” have”; and

(b)

for the words “the Post Office Act 1953” are substituted the words “the Postal Services Act 2000”.
