NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE, ENGLAND

Coming into force 1st April 2002

The Secretary of State for Health, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 16A(1) and (2) and 126(3) and (4) of the National Health Service Act 1977f1 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, following compliance with the consultation requirements contained in regulations made under section 16A(5) of that Actf2, hereby makes the following Order:

1Citation and commencement

This Order may be cited as the Primary Care Trusts (Dissolution) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

2Dissolution of Primary Care Trusts

Each of the Primary Care Trusts established by the Primary Care Trust (Establishment) Orders listed in the Schedule to this Order is dissolved and accordingly those Orders are revoked.

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order dissolves a number of Primary Care Trusts whose areas have become parts of other Primary Care Trusts with effect from 1st April 2002. It also revokes the relevant establishment orders.
