Article 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation

These Rules may be cited as the Prisons and Young Offenders Institutions (Scotland) Amendment Rules 2002 and shall come into force on 1st April 2002.

In these Rules–
(a)
a reference to “the principal Rules” is a reference to the Prisons and Young Offenders Institutions (Scotland) Rules 1994f1;
(b)
“security category” has the meaning ascribed to it in rule 3 of the principal Rules immediately before these Rules come into force.
