England, Wales and Scotland
The chairman and each deputy chairman shall hold and vacate his office in accordance with the terms of his appointment, and may resign by notice to the Secretary of State.
The office of the chairman or a deputy chairman is vacated if he ceases to be a Commissioner.
Past service as chairman or a deputy chairman is no bar to re-appointment.
