The Department of the Environment being a department designatedf1 for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972f2 in relation to the safety measures in regard to radioactive substances and the emission of ionising radiation, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of that Act and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
