Paragraph 5

Section 5 of the Regulation of Railways Act 1889^f1(penalty for avoiding paying of fare) shall be amended by inserting at the end the following subsection—

“(5)

In this section—

(a)

“railway company” includes an operator of a train, and

(b)

“operator”, in relation to a train, means the person having the management of that train for the time being.”.
