Explanatory note

redetermines the estimated aggregate amount of the rate support grants as £1,897,876,128 (previously it was £2,037,930,000) (article 2);

varies the amount of the needs element from £1,730,230,000 to £1,590,176,128 (article 3);

apportions part of the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 4 and Schedule 2); and

revokes article 3(2) of, and Schedule 3 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).

redetermines the estimated aggregate amount of the rate support grants as £1,777,322,740 (previously it was £1,688,110,661) (article 5);

varies the amount of the needs element from £1,400,910,661 to £1,490,122,740 (article 6);

apportions the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 7 and Schedule 3); and

revokes article 8 of, and Schedule 4 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).

varies the amount of the needs element from £1,392,092,301 to £1,395,259,747 (article 12);

apportions the needs element as varied to each local authority (article 13 and Schedule 5); and

revokes article 17 of, and Schedule 6 to, the Rate Support Grant (Scotland) (No.3) Order 1987 (article 14).
