This Order confers new powers on the Coleraine Harbour Commissioners to make byelaws and provides a new procedure for making byelaws (Article 3).

The Order also—

(1)

provides that the byelaw making provisions of the Harbour, Docks and Piers Clauses Act 1847 cease to have effect (Article 4); and

(2)

repeals section 88 of the River Bann Navigation Act 1879 (Article 5).
