In section 26—

(a)

after the definition of “the 1981 Act” there is inserted—

““the 1988 Act” means the Road Traffic Act 1988”,

(b)

for “section 196 of the 1972 Act” there is substituted “ section 192 of the 1988 Act ”, and

(c)

for “section 56(1) of the 1972 Act” there is substituted “ section 68(2) of the 1988 Act ”.
