Section 8 of the Transport Act 1982 (private-sector vehicle testing) is amended as follows.

In subsection (7)—
(a)
in paragraph (a), after “approved testing authorities” there is inserted “ , authorised inspectors ”, and
(b)
in paragraph (b), after “authorised inspectors” there is inserted “ and approved assistants ”.
