The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 61(5) and 64(1) of, and paragraphs 15(1) and (2), and 18(3)(b) and (6)f1 of Schedule 3 to, the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006f2:

Paragraph 18(3)(b) and (6) of Schedule 3 to the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 refer to periods prescribed for the purposes of those provisions. Section 60(1) of that Act defines “prescribed” as meaning prescribed by regulations made by the Secretary of State.
