Regulation 8 Amendment of the Lebanon and Syria (Asset-Freezing) Regulations 2012I1

The Lebanon and Syria (Asset-Freezing) Regulations 2012 M1 are amended as follows.

In regulation 2(1) (interpretation), in the definition of “the Council Regulation”, omit the words from “, and a reference to” to the end of the definition.

In the Schedule, for paragraph 5(1)(f) (general power to disclose information) substitute—

“(f)

for the purpose of giving assistance or co-operation to—

(i)

any organ of the United Nations, or

(ii)

the Council of the European Union, the European Commission or the Government of any country,

to facilitate the exercise by such body of functions which correspond to functions under the Council Regulation or these Regulations;”.
