Explanatory note

This Order provides that lump sum payments paid to those school teachers in England who teach a subject in relation to which they have successfully completed a relevant course and have attained 40 credits at honours level in respect of accredited modules which form part of that course, are not to be treated as remuneration for the purpose of section 122(1) of the Education Act 2002.

A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private or voluntary sectors is foreseen.
