Subject to paragraph (2), the primary contractor must provide a report (a “component completion report”) containing the component completion information within 12 months after the component completion date of a component of a qualifying defence contract.

A component completion report need not be provided if the component completion information is provided in a contract completion report under regulation 28 within 12 months after the component completion date of the component.

In this regulation, “component completion information” means the information that would be required to be provided in relation to the component under regulation 28 if that information were not provided in a component completion report.
