Section 47 Transitional provisions, savings and repeals.

The transitional provisions and savings contained in Schedule 5 to this Act shall have effect.

Subject to the provisions of Schedule 5, the enactments specified in Schedule 6 to this Act are hereby repealed to the extent specified in the third column of that Schedule.

Nothing in this Act shall be taken as prejudicing the operation of F1sections 16(1) and 17(2)(a) of the M1Interpretation Act 1978 (which relate to the effect of repeals).
