Regulation 4 Amendment of the principal regulations

by substituting for sub-praragraphs (iv), (v) and (vi) thereof the following sub-paragraph:—

“(iv)

immediately after completion of bleeding all sheep and goats are completely skinned, save that —

(aa)

any head not intended for human consumption need not be skinned if removed from the carcase at the time of skinning of the carcase;

(ab)

when retention of the ears of sheep is necessary for certification purposes, they shall be removed immediately after certification; and”;

by inserting in sub-paragraph (vii) thereof after the word “sheep”, the words “or goat”.
