Regulation 1 Citation, commencement and interpretation
These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Maternity Allowance) (Earnings) Regulations 2000 and shall come into force on 2nd April 2000.
In these Regulations–

F2“the Contributions Regulations” means the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 2001;
“the Contributions and Benefits Act" means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;
“test period" means the period of 66 weeks specified in section 35(1)(b) of the Contributions and Benefits Act.
