These Regulations amend regulation 17 of the Social Security (Widow’s Benefit and Retirement Pensions) Regulations 1979 (“the Widow’s Benefit and Retirement Pensions Regulations”) to prescribe Graduated Retirement Benefit as a payment, the receipt of which by persons over 80 years of age may entitle a person to age addition.

The Regulations also amend the conditions otherwise prescribed for persons to receive an age addition under regulation 17(2) of the Widow’s Benefit and Retirement Pensions Regulations.
