Article 22 Exercise of solicitors' lien on documents by Society

In Part VI of the Solicitors Order at the beginning there shall be inserted—

“Exercise of solicitors' lien on documents by Society

72A

Where, under any provision of this Order or otherwise, a solicitor has delivered any document to the Society or to a solicitor appointed by the Society, the Society shall be deemed to have a lien on that document of the same nature and to the same extent as the solicitor would have had if the document had remained in his possession.”.
