Paragraph 7

Notwithstanding the repeal by this Act of sections 44 and 45 of the M1Solicitors (Scotland) Act 1933 any society may—

(a)

admit a solicitor as a member on such conditions as it thinks fit;

(b)

accept as a qualification for admission an apprenticeship served under the provisions of this Act with a solicitor who is not a member.
